Veni, Vidi, Risi!
A new shareware game · Veni, Vidi, Risi!, 1995 · registration $5

I came, I saw, I laughed. In Rome nobody laughs at Marcus Iocundus's comic songs in Latin, and then, at his banquet for the senators, his dog Rufus breaks wind under the table. The Senate's sentence: make Emperor Gravis laugh (he hasn't in forty years) or count the sand of the Circus Maximus. So Marcus lives his six songs: throw open the shutters at the banquet, win a battle by running away (cucurri-curri-currimus!), cross the rooftops of Rome touching titles as a tongue twister twists them, hunt mice for cheese as Felix, the bravest cat, gather golden scales for the singing goldfish of the baths, and tell jokes at the theater until the stone faces crack and Emperor Gravis himself laughs, between his herald's hushes of SILENTIUM! Shareware from The Sofa BBS, from six Latin songs by Veni, Vidi, Risi!, Lewis Moten's group (lyrics shaped with ChatGPT from Lewis's prompts; music and vocals made with Riffusion, now Google Flow Music; title and cover art drawn for the game by Claude Opus 5.5).
